Sergiu Mişcoiu is a Senior lecturer in Political Science at the Faculty of European Studies of the Babes-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca, Romania). In 2016, he obtained a PhD degree in Political Science from the University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and a PHD degree in History from the Babes-Bolyai University for his thesis on the National Construction in Europe. Since October 2010, he is entitled to supervise researches at the University Paris-Est. From 2012 to 2016, he headed the Department of International Relations and Germanic Studies of the Babes-Bolyai University. He is a member of the Laboratory of Interdisciplinary Research Team for the Study of Politics Hannah Arendt (LIPHA) of the University Paris-Est, the editor-in-chief of the journal Studia Europaea, the head of the Academic Success Center and the Centre for African Studies of the Babes-Bolyai University, an associate Professor of the University of Szeged (Hungary) and the Executive Director of the Political Studies Association and International Relations. He is interested in populism, the ethno-political representation, constructivism and theory of discourse.
