Geneviève Motard

Geneviève Motard

 
From 2001 to 2003, Geneviève Motard was a research assistant at the Quebec Court of Appeal. Since 2010, joined the Laval University as a Professor at the Faculty of Law where she teaches Constitutional Law and the rights of indigenous peoples. Her research has so far focused on the Indigenous Peoples’ right to autonomy. In addition, her thesis was received with honor at the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Laval University (2012-2013). 
 
Her current research focuses on the rules for the negotiation process between Canada, Quebec and Indigenous Peoples (The Quebec Bar Foundation). She acts as a lawyer and a legal advisor in the field of Indigenous rights.
