Geneviève Beausoleil-Allard

 
Geneviève Beausoleil-Allard is a PhD Law Student at the University of Ottawa. Member of the Quebec Bar and with a Law degree from the University of Montreal (LL. B and LL. M.), she was research lawyer with the Quebec Court of Appeal before being a lecturer in Criminal Law.
 
Her doctoral research co-led by Professors Margarida Garcia and Marie-Eve Sylvestre, deals with Law reform to punish. She explores more specifically the problem of overrepresentation of Aboriginal offenders in prison, and that, from the specific angle of cognitive instability of non-custodial sanctions in the Criminal Law system.
